Bert van der Els appointed new Chairman of the Executive Board of Heijmans N.V. effective 18 April 2012.
Gerrit Witzel, Chairman of the Heijmans Executive Board is not available for a
new appointment term. The Supervisory Board has decided to appoint Bert van der
Els as his successor following the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting of
Shareholders to be held on 18 April 2012. Van der Els is currently Vice Chairman
of the Executive Board.
Gerrit Witzel will step down from the Executive Board effective 30 September
2012. At the request of the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board he will
continue to be associated with the company as advisor.
The Supervisory Board plans to appoint Ton Hillen, currently Corporate Director
Property Development and Residential Building, as a member of the Executive
Board effective 18 April 2012. In his role, Ton Hillen will continue to provide
direction to Property Development and Residential Building.
Effective 1 October 2012, the Executive Board of Heijmans N.V. will consist of
Bert van der Els (Chairman), Ton Hillen and Mark van den Biggelaar (CFO).
Furthermore, Roland de Waal, Director Heijmans Roads Building, and Gert-Jan
Vermeulen, Director Heijmans Civil Engineering, are appointed to the Executive
Committee effective 1 January 2012.
